Welcome to our Classes & Workshops
Thank you for your interest in our class offerings. We offer a little something for everyone, and a truly unique experience. It is our goal to provide you with the information and experience that inspires your passion for natural healing & plant medicine, enhances your sense of community and encourages your desire to integrate wellness into your life. Here are a few things to know when you come to class:
Bring a mug...we are always brewing tea & love to share it with you
We like to show, taste, test, try, make, and otherwise help you experience plants, oils, teas, tinctures, or whatever we might be discussing. And don't forget samples to take home!
You receive 10% of any shopping the night of a class, so feel free to pick-up your supplies and keep the fun going at home.
Drop-ins are welcome, but pre-registeration is encouraged, as class sizes are limited.
Breathe Easy: Herbs for Respiratory Health

Root Medicine for Women’s Health

Explore the healing power of root herbs for women! We will discuss root allies, recipes for women’s health, different types of remedies and an overview of women’s health.
Food as Medicine
Tuesday April 1st | 6:30 – 8:30pm
Use your food as your own personal medicine with general principles of healthy eating, and by debunking a few confusing food myths.
Healing Power of Plants
Wednesday April 16th | 6:30 – 9:00pm
This is a hands-on class that explores the physical, energetic, and spiritual qualities of some of our favorite plant-medicines. We will demonstrate how to make and enjoy these remedies in daily life.
Healthy Weight for a Healthy You

Creating a Botanical Sanctuary

Have you ever dreamt of contributing to environmental conservation in a way that would last forever? Learn how you can turn your backyard into a wildlife corridor, and many other ways that we can personally protect the earth and its biodiversity. *Proceeds from class will be donated to United Plant Savers
Summer Solstice Celebration –SPECIAL EVENT

Join the Apothecary Staff for a powerful Summer Solstice Celebration! Solstice brings the fiery energy and passionate intentions, which will lead us through our impending transformations in this summer season. We will enjoy food, drinks, plant medicine, community, and the spirit of celebration.

Herbal Strategies for Stress & Depression

Introduction to Fertility Awareness Method
Monday March 10th | 6:30 – 9:00pm
The Fertility Awareness Method is a practice of self-observation that can help women to promote or prevent pregnancy as well as assess gynecological health. This class provides a basic introduction to this important and empowering technique, a review of female anatomy and physiology, and explores the 3 signs that women can observe to assess the phases and patterns of her cycle.

Foundation of Health (Core) Classes
Deepen your understanding of natural remedies in our foundations of health courses. Each series class helps you balance and integrate your knowledge of herbal medicine, aromatherapy & holistic healing. These courses are run throughout the year and are intended to build your knowledge base for personal & community applications.
Women’s Body Wisdom Series
Four Consecutive Wednesday evenings

Cultivate your intuitive understanding and create your greatest physical and emotional health. Class content is appropriate for self-knowledge and those working with women’s health. Each class will discuss a variety of healing modalities that support a women’s body. We will follow the flow of the group, but will use the following framework:

Foundations of Aromatherapy
Five consecutive Thursday evenings

Part of our herbal foundation series, this class journeys into the sophisticated yet simple art of aromatherapy. Essential Oils are gentle, yet powerful tools for creating change and supporting health. In class we will learn:
Methods of application & quality of oils
Functional groups used to classify and blend oils
Therapeutic use and materia medica
Hands-on class making hydrosol elixirs & perfumes

6 consecutive Wednesday evenings
September 24th – October 29th | 6:30 - 9:30pm
This course is part of our herbal foundation series, and is open to herbal students of all backgrounds. We will sample herbs in various forms & discuss:
Therapeutic uses of individual herbs and their effect on our different body systems.
Basic Anatomy and Physiology, as it applies to understanding how herbs affect the body.
Herbal remedies and preparations to create health and balance.
Herbs for acute situations & first-aid, as well as the long-term use of tonic herbs.
